Vision Statement

A Vision Statement is a clear declaration of an organization’s purpose and long-term goals. To create a Vision Statement, you need to answer 5 questions: how much revenue you want to earn in 3 years, what products or services you will be providing in 3 years, who your perfect customer is in 3 years, and what geographical marketplace you will serve in 3 years. By answering these questions, you will have a clearer understanding of what you are building and where you are headed. Your Vision Statement will serve as a guiding light, providing direction and purpose for your organization.

Objectives

Setting business Objectives defines what a company wants to achieve and how progress will be measured. The two mandatory Objectives for any business are Revenue and Profit. Other Objectives might include gaining new clients, increasing average revenue per client or project, and achieving a specific gross profit margin. It is recommended that businesses set a manageable number of Objectives, typically 5 to 6 for small businesses and up to 9 for larger ones. Objectives must be objective, not subjective, meaning they must be measurable to provide a clear indication of success.

Action Plan

An Action Plan outlines the specific tasks needed to achieve a goal for your business. It’s not just a random list, but a strategic set of actions that are crucial for success. These plans require focused effort and are critical to progress your business towards its objectives. If you need more than nine action plans, it may be time to delegate tasks to others. Regularly review and update your action plans to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with your objectives.

Based on the information gathered from you, Kedden will generate a series of cash-flow projections to support the fulfillment of the Business Plan. Cash flow projections are crucial for businesses as they provide a forward-looking view of cash inflows and outflows. They help plan and budget for the future, identify cash needs, manage debt, and evaluate business decisions. By forecasting cash flows, businesses can make informed choices about investing in growth opportunities. Cash flow projections also ensure debt obligations are met during low cash flow periods. Ultimately, they play a critical role in helping businesses make informed decisions and ensure they have the resources needed to succeed.
